Candice Smith, Chief 187, Christmas Candi

Welcome to my page!

My name is Candice Smith and I am thrilled you have found your way to this spot to find out more about me and what I do.

First and foremost, I am a wife and mother of three. I work hard in my community as a Board of Education trustee (in my second elected term) as well as work as a paraprofessional in a lovely school. Although I am also a licensed teacher, I work as a para because it fits the schedule I want to keep to raise my own children who are still at home.

Second, I am a three-time published author of the following books: Christmas Candi: A Guide To Year-round Holiday Bliss, The Man Behind the Beard co-authored by Pat Ficcio, and Drafting the Culinary Circuits co-authored by Eddie Crowther. Drafting the Culinary Circuits was a limited run book for 2020.

Currently I am working on writing a book with my father about his lifelong love affair and ownership of automobiles. My dad used to write a popular series of articles that we are actively crafting into his memoirs. I also have a book in the planning stages about life, love, marriage, and parenthood.

I have written thousands of articles. Many of those articles were about Motorsports, specifically NASCAR and INDYCAR. I used to helm a website that offered these articles plus other articles from different writers about Formula One, ARCA, and other forms of Motorsports. At that website we also ran an Internet radio program titled "Drafting the Circuits" with a diverse and talented panel of writers and broadcasters who talked about and interviewed major talents including the legendary Mario Andretti, NASCAR Hall of Famer Bobby Allison, IndyCar legend Bobby Unser, 10-time ARCA champion Frank Kimmel, and Indianapolis 500 champion Alexander Rossi among scores of others In addition, I secured media credentials for Drafting the Circuits to cover races from the Indianapolis 500 to the United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas, and NASCAR races at Texas Motor Speedway, Kentucky Speedway, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and Pocono International Raceway.

During the 2020 Holiday Season I posted daily Holiday Hints on social media. They were so well-received and many became the basis for articles that appeared weekly from Thanksgiving Week through New Year's Eve.

2021 promises to be another prolific year in terms of my writings. Monthly articles will be published while I continue to create books for future publication. The "Holiday Hints" will sprinkle the Internet periodically and become Daily Hints once September 2021 rolls around.

My First Book By: Candice Smith

When a dream comes to fruition it is a heady experience! Dreams make life worth living. And when a dream that has seemed out of reach comes into focus and is on the verge of being realized, it’s shout-worthy!

Next month my dream, my life-long dream, becomes reality!

I’ve written and am now publishing my first book!

Since I was a child I have been “writing”.

First it was trying to create words for a Wonder Woman comic I had in my head. Then it became writing a romance novel. I tried writing my autobiography in my late teens.

Nothing got finished.

Blogging became an excellent way for me to write. It started with Motorsports, morphed into personal topics, went back to Motorsports, and now teeter totters between the two genres.

Leaving the world of Motorsports in 2016 – I had created and helmed Drafting the Circuits, a Motorsports website with original articles, an Internet radio weekly program, and a site that provided me media credentials from the Indianapolis 500, Circuit of the Americas for Formula One, and Pocono International Raceway among many others – gave me the time to write my book.

Many thought the topic of my book would center on Motorsports. That would have been most logical with the thousands of articles I’d written in my life in this category.

My strength and experience, however, actually lies in a different topic:  Christmas.

For over thirty years I have been gathering knowledge and information on how to prepare a fabulous Christmas.

I employ year-round techniques that make Christmas and other holidays more manageable, more affordable, and more enjoyable for everyone involved.

I’ve packaged my tips, recipes, gift-guides, how-tos, and personal anecdotes into my first book entitled Christmas Candi:  A Guide to Year-Round Holiday Bliss!

Offered as both a print book and a fully-colored eBook, Christmas Candi:  A Guide to Year-Round Holiday Bliss will become a go-to resource in the home.

It’s useful, informational, packed with easy and quick recipes that look and taste fabulous, fantastic gift guides for all types of people, stocking stuffers ideas, and stories that are humorous as well as poignant.

There is so much packed into this book!

Be sure to get it for your home, and, remember, it makes an awesome gift!

Since I began my Internet career, the support I’ve had has been overwhelming in the best of ways. It humbles me greatly.

With the publication of Christmas Candi:  A Guide to Year-Round Holiday Bliss, I hope I can continue to count on your support.

I believe you will truly read and use this book each and every year and throughout the year as well.

Thank you!

Stay tuned for release date coming October 2018!

Simple Joys

Welcome to Simple Joys on Chief 187™Chatter.

Finding and recognizing my Simple Joys again in the last couple of weeks has truly enriched my life. By constantly being on the lookout I find I am more able to live in the moment, experience joy even if it is fleeting, and look forward to every opportunity to find ever more joy.

These personal findings aren’t meant to do anything than to keep my perspective. I’m neither preaching nor bragging. I simply want to share with you the times I found Simple Joys in the last week. It helps me keep balance and perspective in my overly busy, stressful life, and I hope it inspires you to do the same.

And now, without further ado, is this week’s Simple Joys.

Twitter friendship – It’s difficult to say Twitter “followers” and “followees” are friends, but some actually do become ones. I have some awesome friendships that began there – Doc, Johnny, Ted, JJ, and more – and others who became fun acquaintances.

When one of my friends retweeted (RT) my last week’s Simple Joys post, one of her friends RT’d it, too. The assumption was that I suffered from “Fibro”. I quickly corrected the error – I don’t – but was stricken with two thoughts. First, how sad it is that people suffer from all types of conditions “24 hours a day in pain” as I was told. Second, how my Simple Joys piece resonated so strongly with this community.

Having my work – truly a selfish piece – impacting people so strongly is a Simple Joy that is powerful and humbling.

Facebook Birthday Greetings. Over the years replying to Facebook birthday greetings took a small part of my day and was always enjoyable.

It’s still immensely enjoyable to see all of the lovely birthday greetings, but now there are so many I’m hard pressed to keep up with all of them. I am NOT complaining. It means the world to me to see the multiple good wishes, heartfelt hellos, and good will being sent my way.

Having a plethora of friends sending wonderful birthday wishes on Facebook is an overwhelming Simple Joy!

Birthday dinner. Some people spend their birthday dinners going out to dinner and I admit I do enjoy doing just that. This year, however, with my birthday falling on a Saturday, a larger group than normal gathered, and still having young children, I chose a meal at home.

With extended family, the best of summer’s fresh produce, and a gorgeous night weather-wise, I had one of the best birthdays of my life!

Spending my birthday dinner at home surrounded by loved ones was a most pleasing and excellent Simple Joy.

Birthday Race Chat. Once the dinner party was over and the children were tucked into bed, each with a story, I relaxed into the last part of my evening watching the NASCAR Sprint Cup race from Bristol. I watch the race while chatting with my friends on the Drafting the Circuits Facebook page.

I’m not one to sit still and watch a race for four hours from start to finish alone, but while hanging out online, chatting with my friends, the time melts away. It was a thrill to get back to my online life during a race!

Indulging in watching a NASCAR race with my online friends is a consistent Simple Joy.

Russell Stover Candy. My big brother was able to spend my birthday with me; he arrived from out-of-state to join me for dinner. He brought a big hug, a sweet card, and a box of Russell Stover’s Candy.

At dessert I opened the box and everybody delighted in their favorite candy. It’s like a tiny bit of Christmas on a summer’s night.
The candy was scrumptious! Sometimes a little sweetness and choice makes the day perfect!

Having a fresh box of Russell Stover’s Candy to close out my birthday celebration was a sweet Simple Joy.

My Simple Joys revolved around people – and chocolate – this week.

As I get older I realize so much more clearly that a present for a birthday means far less than a relative being at the dinner table.
That a person’s richness is measured by how many lives they touch and who remembers them fondly than by how much is in their wallet is another lesson I’m learning.

Remembering to look for Simple Joys – good health, pain-free day or hour or even minute, surrounding oneself with family and friends – and appreciating them in every form is powerful.

Even in this short time I have gained so much from paying attention to my Simple Joys. I’ll continue to write mine weekly. My hope is that in some way you find a way to spot your Simple Joys throughout the week.

Wishing you a week filled with Simple Joys!

What's Happening Wednesday June 12, 2013

Welcome to What’s Happening Wednesday on Chief 187™Chatter.

This weekly post features the guests I’m fortunate to interview, show names, links, and show times in one convenient place.

Variety is the spice of life and with the three Internet radio shows I host I am treated to a wide variety of folks to interview within the world of motorsports.

Tonight on Drafting the Circuits we have a gentleman from the Vintage Sports Car Club of America (VSCCA) who is chairing an event at Virginia International Raceway (VIR) in Danville, Virginia this weekend. His name is Peter Krause.

Krause will explain the unique guidelines of the VSCCA, its philosophy, and discuss the great features of VIR. He is an extremely interesting man who will regale us all with stories, information, and facts!

Michele Rahal returns to talk open-wheel with Frank Santoroski and our gang to start the show. The races in F1 from Montreal and IndyCar from TMS are the topics on deck.

I will be talking about all of my experiences with Philip Mathew at Pocono Raceway this past weekend – from the ARCA race to the NASCAR Cup one, we have much to talk about with Ronnie Crate Payne and Gray Warren!

Burning Rubber Radio has a stellar line up this week with NASCAR Camping World Truck driver and winner of his first race Jeb Burton stopping by to talk about the events that went down at Texas Motor Speedway last weekend. He even talks about his famous father Ward, winner of the 2002 Daytona 500.

Chad Hackenbracht is also on hand from the NCWTS race from TMS. A racer from the ARCA series, Hackenbracht is running a four race deal with Kyle Busch Motorsports in the NCWTS which began at TMS. He will talk about the differences between ARCA cars and the trucks, his unfortunate luck, and the rest of his truck schedule with KBM. Hackenbracht is a delightful interview and someone who we’ll definitely be hearing more about throughout the season.

Chase Briscoe, dirt driver from the mid-west (USAC/MSCS), joins us to talk about his becoming a finalist in the Peak Stock Car Dream Challenge in conjunction with Michael Waltrip. We’ll find out more about this young phenom who will be testing on asphalt next month with no experience on the surface!

Finally, Corrie Stott and I will conduct the NASCAR roundtable with Ronnie Crate Payne, Andy Delay, and Bob Steele. We discuss Pocono, Jimmie Johnson, and so much more.

Heels on Wheels has a super line-up of guests including Renaissance woman Mary Beth Chambers who I had the pleasure of interviewing along with Stacey Grammar. We learned about college level courses for racers and race support, the Grand-Am Raceworks team, and how sports are all related in myriad ways.

I also file a NASCAR report centering on the personalities I was able to meet and interview while at Pocono Raceway with producer Bob Steele.

The ladies of HOW interview Kathy Stout who is the newly named partner with Connie Nyholm to VIR, and Molly Taylor, an Australian Rally driver who is competing in Europe for the World Rally Championship .

Sizzlin’ Scotty makes his weekly appearance with another mouth-watering recipe.

What's Happening Wednesday June 5, 2013

Welcome to What’s Happening Wednesday on Chief 187™Chatter.

This week on Drafting the Circuits we are welcoming two guests back to the program. The first is the delightful and lovely Sylvia Porter who runs Anderson Motor Speedway in Williamston, SC. Sylvia’s track is nicknamed “The Super Track of the Carolinas” and hosts manydifferent series and races throughout the season, including Crate’s own Southeast Super Trucks.

Chase Briscoe is an acoomplished young man who is returning to our show. This driver runs 410 non-wing sprint cars in USAC, MSCS, and locally. Briscoe was recently announced as one of the 10 finalists in the Peak Stock Car Dream Challenge so we’ll have a lot to talk to him about tonight!

Burning Rubber Radio continues its tradition of hosting the winner – or points’ winner – of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series with Matt Crafton who came in second to Kyle Busch in Dover last weekend. We also speak to Frank Kimmel who won the ARCA race last weekend.

Corrie Stott joins me for our weekly rountable in which we discuss the NASCAR Sprint Cup race with show hosts Andy Delay, Bob Steele, and Ronnie Crate Payne. Just like belly buttons, we all have our opinions and feel strongly about sharing them! Andy takes the heat for a comment he made last week so be sure to tune in for all of that! Lastly, Chef John Dicks shares another one of his scrumptious recipes.

Heels on Wheels has producer Bob Steele and me discussing the NASCAR Sprint Cup race from Dover and tackling perspective on Jimmie Johnson’s penalty among other things. The ladies of the program interview Dina Parise, Tracy Daniel, and Lea Anne P. Chef Sizzlin’ Scotty brings another fantastic dish to the table.

What's Happening Wednesday May 29, 2013

Welcome to What’s Happening Wednesday on Chief 187™Chatter!

Each week offers something new and exciting on the three radio shows I am fortunate to be a part. The guests we book all bring something to the table and this week they are off the hook!

Tonight on Drafting the Circuits we will break down the Monaco Grand Prix and the Indianapolis 500 with Michele Rahal. Frank and Laura Santoroski represented Drafting the Circuits at the latter this past weekend and brought back amazing images both via words and pictures to share with our readers. We hope to bring Frank on to illuminate the action he witnessed. Gerry Wright of Dover International Speedway will swing by to talk about his beloved track and give us his opinion of what we’re to see racing-wise at the Monster Mile this weekend in all three of NASCAR’s top series. Then we’ll talk to CJ Faison who is a K&N Pro Series East driver and who happens to be driving a NCWTS truck in Friday night’s race in Dover. Finally Ronnie Crate Payne, Sinista 1 Keith Hayes, Gray Warren, and I, Chief 187™Candice Smith, will break down the Coca Cola 600, address opinions that it’s too long, and will preview Dover.

Burning Rubber Radio is scheduled to also talk to CJ Faison. In fact, I tape this program on Mondays and is when and how I found him. All credit to program host Andy Delay who made the contact with Faison and graciously shared with me. In addition we will talk to iRacing two-time NASCAR champion Ray Alfalla.

We discuss the nuances of iRacing and how the simulation races he competes in a season have added up to two championships with all the bells, whistles, and money of note. Corrie Stott joins me for the roundtable portion of the program when we discuss many racing topics, some that turn heated. When Crate, Delay, and Bob Steele add their voices and opinions the segment is enhanced and is becoming folks’ favorite. Chef John Dicks shares one of his tasty recipes, too.

Heels on Wheels has another great show on tap. I was excited to interview good friend Andi Lee Camassar of Whatever You Need Race Assistance who was fresh from two weeks spent at Lowes Charlotte Motor Speedway where she’d worked tirelessly. Camassar gives great insight into her career, the racing world, and more. It’s a don’t-miss spot! Producer Bob Steele and I take a segment to talk about the Monaco Grand Prix (F1), the Indianapolis 500 (IndyCar), and the Coca Cola 600 (NASCAR) and leave no stone un-turned! The ladies also get to talk to racers Natasha Stokes, Sierra Lantz, and Jessica Mase. Finally, Sizzlin’ Scotty brings one of his fabulous recipes to the show.

What's Happening Wednesday May 22, 2013

Welcome to What’s Happening Wednesday on Chief 187™Chatter.

This week’s Drafting the Circuits has a decidedly IndyCar theme. The Indianapolis 500 – The Greatest Spectacle in Racing – takes place this Memorial Day Weekend and we are dedicating a good portion of the show to that.

Our guest is “Speedy” Dan Clarke, a British driver who now calls Indianapolis home. Clarke has run everything from UK Formula Ford to the Champ Car World Series, the Firestone Indy Lights Series to driving road courses in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. Most recently Clarke has earned the 2012 Intercontinental Trophy Cup Porsche Cayman Championship. In addition to IndyCar we’ll talk about Formula 1 in Monaco with the masterful Michele Rahal. And Ronnie Crate Payne, Gray Warren, Sinista 1 Keith Hayes, and I, Chief 187™Candice Smith, will get to talk about the NASCAR Sprint Cup Coca~Cola (World) 600. It is the preview of 1261.8 miles of racing this Memorial Day Weekend!

Burning Rubber Radio kicks off this weekend with runner up at the North Carolina Education Lottery 200 in Charlotte, Brendan Gaughan. I asked host Andy Delay to secure this guest that very night and, like he always does, Delay came through! Gaughan gives a candid interview leaving me – and our listeners – totally endeared to him. Buzzie Reutimann, NASCAR Sprint Cup driver David’s father, swings by to talk about his most recent race and a career that has stretched the decades, includes his son as team owner, and keeps him in the cockpit of his racecar in his seventies. A post-All-Star race roundtable between Delay, Bob Steele, Ronnie Crate Payne, Corrie Stott, and me, Candice Smith, is spirited. And stay tuned for Chef John Dicks' famous ribs recipe, the one that Tony “Smoke” Stewart always indulges in when Dicks cooks for him at the races.

Heels on Wheels this week finds me talking to one of my favorite ladies, Shawna Robinson. She is as charming, forth-coming, and interesting as ever and tells us about her storied career, personal choices, and re-invention post-racing. I also have Kelley Picasso, co-founder of Autosport Labs who introduces our audience to Race Capture Pro, an open source racecar data and telemetry system that is being sold at a very accessible price point. Producer and race enthusiast/racecar driver Bob Steele joins me to talk NASCAR as well. The other ladies interview Motocross Racer Sue Fish and Casey Roderick PR Person Renee Jones. And always stick around for Sizzlin’ Scotty’s recipe!

What's Happening Wednesday May 15, 2013

Welcome to What’s Happening Wednesday on Chief 187™Chatter.

It has been NASCAR Hall of Fame month on Drafting the Circuits this May! Following the fabulous appearance by Fred Lorenzen’s daughter Amanda last week, we offer not one but two potential NASCAR Hall of Famers. Margaret Sue Turner Wright is the daughter of Curtis Turner. She will talk to us about her father’s vast career, racing triumphs, and some of the failures he endured along the way. Ms. Wright is doing all she can to keep her father’s racing career and contributions in the minds of NASCAR fans as he was a vital part of its success.

In addition to Ms. Wright we are thrilled to announce that Jack Ingram will be with us. This five-time NASCAR Busch Series Grand National Champion will reminisce with us about his myriad wins throughout his long and storied career. Don’t miss a moment while Ronnie Crate Payne, Gray Warren, Sinista 1 Keith Hayes, and I, Chief 187™ Candice Smith welcome these superstars in racing into Drafting the Circuits LIVE this Wednesday night.

Burning Rubber Radio is a jam-packed show this week with Bobby Dale Earnhardt talking about his 10th place finish in a recent truck race. Scott Stenzel, the NASCAR Camping World Truck driver, stops by to talk about his new marriage and his schedule this summer. Finally Michele Rahal makes his debut on our program to talk about his racing family, his career in motorsports broadcasting, and so much more! Corrie Stott and I talk about Darlington and the upcoming All-Star Race in a roundtable with hosts Andy Delay, Ronnie Crate Payne, and Bob Steele. Finally, Chef John Dicks brings us a fabulous soup recipe. All of these guests and so much more appear on this week’s show.

Heels on Wheels has a wonderful line-up. As usual I have a NASCAR report filed on the show as Bob Steele and I discuss Darlington, Joe Gibbs Racing domination, and the landscape for the upcoming NASCAR All-Star Race. I was fortunate to interview the absolutely gorgeous, extremely talented, and fabulous Leah Pruett, the NHRA Top Fuel Rookie running for Dote Racing this season. The ladies on the program also interview Valerie Thompson and Hannah Newhouse. And, of course, Chef Sizzlin’ Scotty whips up something awesome.

What's Happening Wednesday

Welcome to What’s Happening Wednesday on Chief 187™Chatter.

Once again I’ve had the pleasure and good fortune to speak to drivers and other people for the radio programs I work.

Tonight I’m tickled to have not one but two special guests on Drafting the Circuits. Our first guest is the daughter of a NASCAR legend who is currently being considered for the NASCAR Hall of Fame Class of 2014, Fred Lorenzen. Amanda Lorenzen Gardstrom will be on the show to discuss her father’s career, his health, and another topic important to her, head injuries.

In addition to Gardstrom we are happy to announce that Buzzie Reutimann, David’s father and a racer in his own right, will be stopping by to chat with us. He’ll talk about his decades of racing and what it’s like to have your son be your team owner!

All of this plus the open wheel reports with macho Michele Rahal and the NASCAR segments with Ronnie Crate Payne, Gray Warren, Sinista 1 Keith Hayes, and me, Chief 187™ Candice Smith.

Burning Rubber Radio is also chock full of fabulous guests this weekend. Justin Lofton comes on to talk about the truck series he is racing that keeps him banged up and excited as well as spills some news about when and where we’ll see him in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series next – it’s sooner than you think!

Full-time ARCA driver and part-time NCWTS racer Spencer Gallagher stopped by with his witty personality to talk racing, the differences between those ARCA cars and the trucks, as well as a lot of tomfoolery!

Lastly reigning Southeast Super Trucks champion and winner at Lonesome Pine Kenneth Headen came on to talk to us about the heck of a race he won and where the series is competing next. Plus I conducted a serious round table with Corrie Stott about the races from Talladega that is not to be missed! And make sure to get a terrific recipe from Chef John Dicks who whips up a tasty meat and potatoes meal just in time for Mother’s Day.

I had a dream come true this week on Heels on Wheels when I got to interview a jeweler from Indiana named Mark Grosser. Grosser is a fine jeweler and master craftsman who, in addition to his other collections, designs a line of fabulous IndyCar-themed jewelry. He has made custom designed pieces from pictures and is a true delight and artisan. Did I mention that he has taken professional photos at the Indianapolis 500 for over 35 years? Tune in to this interview to learn more. The other fine ladies interviewed the likes of Sarah Schilke, Shannon and Mary Mudro, and Michalla and Cori Beatty for this Mother's Day edition of the show. There’s Sizzlin’ Scotty with a fabulous recipe and, of course, my filed NASCAR report.

What's Happening Wednesday May 1, 2013

Welcome to What’s Happening Wednesday on Chief 187™Chatter!

Each week I have the privilege of interviewing fascinating people in the world of motorsports in addition to talking about the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series with some of the finest minds.

Tonight on Drafting the Circuits I am delighted to have NASCAR Camping World Truck driver and race promoter at two tracks, Rick Crawford. He held the record for most starts in the NCWTS! And now Crawford is helming not one but two fabulous tracks. The first is in Mobile, Alabama and the other is in Montana! We’ll talk to him about that and so much more. As always we’ll have marvelous Michele Rahal file his open wheel report about IndyCar and Formula 1. Ronnie Crate Payne, Sinista 1/Keith Hayes, Gray Warren, and I, Chief 187™/Candice Smith will cover NASCAR up and down and all around!

Burning Rubber Radio gives a lot of love to ARCA and NCWTS drivers this week. Special guests include Frank Kimmel, Sean Corr, bothof whom are competing in ARCA at Talladega, and Bobby Dale Earnhardt. With a full cast of characters – Andy Delay, Bob Steele, Ronnie Crate Payne, Corrie Stott, Charles Robinson, John Dicks, and me, Chief 187™/Candice Smith, there is something for everyone!

The Heels on Wheels radio show brings freshness to motorsports broadcasting featuring all-female guests and panel. I am thrilled to be a part of the show offering a weekly NSCS report as well as occasional interviews. This week I had the good fortune to speak with Stefy Bau, the Motocross and Supercross superstar who dominated the sport until a career-ending accident changed her path. We had an insightful and informative conversation that you won’t want to miss! Other guests include Sue Robinson, Maria Costello, Jesse Selig, and Renee Jones.

What's Happening Wednesday April 24, 2013

Welcome to What’s Happening Wednesday on Chief 187™Chatter.

This week on Drafting the Circuits we are expecting two guests from the world of NASCAR Sprint Cup. Doug Richert has been a player at NASCAR’s top level since he was a young lad and became the crew chief for Dale Earnhardt in 1980. Together they each earned their first Cup. Richert has been a crew chief for years with many notables in NASCAR. For the 2013 season Richert oversees both BK Racing teams with David Reutimann in the No. 83 car and Travis Kvapil in the No. 93 car. Richert and Reutimann will be my special guests LIVE on Drafting the Circuits tonight!

Burning Rubber Radio will have less of me this week due to personal reasons – my son’s opening game in Little League was on taping night – but my NASCAR Cup report is there. The show is still wonderful and features the winner of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race from Kansas, ThorSport Racing driver Matt Crafton! More great segments with Corrie Stott who breaks down the recent fines by NASCAR and so much more!

Heels on Wheels will once again feature my NASCAR Cup report. This week I also get to interview prolific and talented writer Tammy Kaehler who has written two novels that she calls racing mysteries. She is a delight and someone whose books I’m interested in reading. The ladies on the show also got to interview Janet Guthrie so definitely tune in for the entire program!

What's Happening Wednesday - April 17, 2013

Welcome to another What’s Happening Wednesday on Chief 187™Chatter.

I’m incredibly fortunate to work on several awesome iRadio programs that cover the racing world. Each week I’m using the Wednesday blog post to share with y’all what names are featured as guests and what I’ll be talking about on the different shows I appear.

Tonight LIVE on Drafting the Circuits I am proud to announce that racer Molly Helmuth from Washington State will be with us. She’s a dynamo in the world of racing who earned the NASCAR Rookie of the Year honors in 2012 for Super Late Models in Washington State. Recently Molly was a finalist in the Champion Spark Plug Search for a Champion contest. We’ll have a great time learning about this young driver and finding out where her future is taking her. Of course we will also be talking Formula 1 and IndyCar with Michele Rahal. NASCAR talk will commence with our regular panel as well. You never know what will be said on our LIVE show so tune in early and stick around for the entire program!

Starting Thursday Burning Rubber Radio airs with over 20 amazing interviews from The Rock where show host Andy Delay and returning host Charles Robinson covered the event. From Johnny Sauter to Darrell Wallace Jr. (having choice words for Ron Hornaday Jr.) and race winner and wunderkind Kyle Larson, there are tons of great at-event interviews. In addition, Southeast Super Trucks winner Kenneth Headen stops by as well as race winner Jessica Green fresh from her win down in Florida in a truck series. The show is jam-packed so don’t miss a moment!

After the Thursday broadcast of Burning Rubber Radio and Drafting the Circuits, tune in for Heels on Wheels. This show is staffed entirely by women save the producer, radio veteran, racecar driver, and all-around great guy Bob Steele. He and I do a segment together discussing the Cup race from last week – the NRA 500 from Texas Motor Speedway. Kyle Busch is talked about a lot. The entire show is fascinating with interviews with women all throughout racing.
