What's Happening Wednesday May 29, 2013

Welcome to What’s Happening Wednesday on Chief 187™Chatter!

Each week offers something new and exciting on the three radio shows I am fortunate to be a part. The guests we book all bring something to the table and this week they are off the hook!

Tonight on Drafting the Circuits we will break down the Monaco Grand Prix and the Indianapolis 500 with Michele Rahal. Frank and Laura Santoroski represented Drafting the Circuits at the latter this past weekend and brought back amazing images both via words and pictures to share with our readers. We hope to bring Frank on to illuminate the action he witnessed. Gerry Wright of Dover International Speedway will swing by to talk about his beloved track and give us his opinion of what we’re to see racing-wise at the Monster Mile this weekend in all three of NASCAR’s top series. Then we’ll talk to CJ Faison who is a K&N Pro Series East driver and who happens to be driving a NCWTS truck in Friday night’s race in Dover. Finally Ronnie Crate Payne, Sinista 1 Keith Hayes, Gray Warren, and I, Chief 187™Candice Smith, will break down the Coca Cola 600, address opinions that it’s too long, and will preview Dover.

Burning Rubber Radio is scheduled to also talk to CJ Faison. In fact, I tape this program on Mondays and is when and how I found him. All credit to program host Andy Delay who made the contact with Faison and graciously shared with me. In addition we will talk to iRacing two-time NASCAR champion Ray Alfalla.

We discuss the nuances of iRacing and how the simulation races he competes in a season have added up to two championships with all the bells, whistles, and money of note. Corrie Stott joins me for the roundtable portion of the program when we discuss many racing topics, some that turn heated. When Crate, Delay, and Bob Steele add their voices and opinions the segment is enhanced and is becoming folks’ favorite. Chef John Dicks shares one of his tasty recipes, too.

Heels on Wheels has another great show on tap. I was excited to interview good friend Andi Lee Camassar of Whatever You Need Race Assistance who was fresh from two weeks spent at Lowes Charlotte Motor Speedway where she’d worked tirelessly. Camassar gives great insight into her career, the racing world, and more. It’s a don’t-miss spot! Producer Bob Steele and I take a segment to talk about the Monaco Grand Prix (F1), the Indianapolis 500 (IndyCar), and the Coca Cola 600 (NASCAR) and leave no stone un-turned! The ladies also get to talk to racers Natasha Stokes, Sierra Lantz, and Jessica Mase. Finally, Sizzlin’ Scotty brings one of his fabulous recipes to the show.
