Monday Media Blog-Favorite Cooking Show

Welcome to the Monday Media Blog on Chief 187™Chatter. I am truly fond of this category of blogs as it allows me to explore with rapid succession all of the topics that interest me. Occasionally movie prompts will return as I do so enjoy movies and feel a running list of what to rent/request on Netflix is vitally important year round. But, when time permits it is the television that often gets turned on for some mindless entertainment.

This week’s topic inquires what your favorite cooking show is of all time. Were you loyal to Julia Child, bask in the glory of the non-trained Rachel Ray, or swoon when Emeril yells, “BAM!”? Maybe you prefer destination programs like Triple D (Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives) or Giada’s Weekend Getaways. Or perhaps you are an extreme food lover like Anthony Bourdain. Tell all about your favorite food program, what channel it airs, and what you love about it so much.

It is my goal and desire to connect with my readership and, while continuing to be true to myself here on these electronic pages, still provide interesting content for you to consume. New

for 2012 I’m implementing a “suggestion box” for you to send me your thoughts. Have a topic for the Monday Media Blog or Friday Music Blog you would enjoy seeing covered, drop me a note. I can be reached through comments here or on Twitter @Chief187s (a follow me on Twitter button is now available on the upper right hand corner of this page). I honestly want to hear from you so please don’t hesitate to contact me.

I invite you to join me tomorrow for Simple Joys, the most popular feature on Chief 187™Chatter.

  1. I don't think it ever gets any better than when Swedens master Chef takes over with the big knife and turns the microwave up :-

I've never watched a DDD where I've not said, "I'd eat that."

  5. Anthony Bourdain all the way. His extreme New Yawk/New Jersey attitude (he did go to school in NJ for a while)makes me homesick! Oh, and the foods are fun too!

  6. I love The Minimalist videos on The New York Times site. Tried some of the recipes and you really can do great things with a minimum of ingredients. If it's got cheese or chocolate in it than I'm in.

  7. Sorry I am a late response. My favorite show is Paula Deen's shows, any and all of them. Her laugh is contagious and though I do not make many of her recipes, it is her personality that sells me. I truly enjoy all the cooking shows. I print recipes for Rachael, Guy, Bobby - and yes, that makes it sound like I know them all. A new one I love is Pioneer Woman on Food Network, check her out sometime. Geesh, I could go on and on!
