Welcome to the Friday Music Blog on Chief 187™Chatter.
With the NASCAR Sprint Cup action at Atlanta Motor Speedway for the Labor Day Weekend there are several topics that fill my mind for this musical post.
First, Atlanta’s nickname is “Hotlanta” so songs that contain the word “hot” in the title, lyric, or band/artist name is the first focus.
As it is Labor Day Weekend work is on my mind. Well, quite frankly, my work is always on my mind! So, list songs that contain the word “work” in the title lyric, or band/artist name next.
Finally, in honor of the “Fakesgiving” I’m hosting, an annual event that coincides with Labor Day Weekend in my home, songs that decree fakeness are also included – spurned lovers, lying, and truly being fake are all included. An example might be Avril Lavigne’s “Complicated” with the line, “I see the way you're acting like you’re somebody else gets me frustrated.”
Be sure to check back to this post throughout the day and weekend as new selections are added. In fact, perusing Chief 187™Chatter is a delightful way to spend some “free time”. The recipes on the Tantalizing Thursday posts are accessible and delicious. The Simple Joys posts are uplifting no matter what is happening in your life. The Freestyle Wednesday pieces are fun, sexy, sweet, and entertaining. And the Monday Media Blog (Monday Movie Blog) will provide great ideas for movies, television programming and even video games!

Chief 187™Chatter had a very successful summer. The numbers in terms of pageviews continued to swell throughout which is a testament to the loyalty of my readership. Whereas summer is typically a time when less people regularly visit “fun” sites, you were consistently there to read, comment, and share my work and for that I am continuously grateful.
As Chief 187™Chatter nears its second anniversary of September 13, 2012, hitting the 100,000 pageview mark is well in reach. In fact, we may blow that number out of the water long before. Regardless, as I’ve always stated because it is true, I would write these posts for just me and my family. Having you all here to share them with is the “frosting on the cake” of life for me. Thank you to each and every one of you.
Please join me on Monday as I begin another week of all new, fresh, and original posts on Chief 187™Chatter.
