Friday Music Blog-Vegas Edition

Welcome to the Friday Music Blog on Chief 187™Chatter.

The NASCAR tour is stopping at Las Vegas this weekend. The Strip, the shows, gambling, and music are all a part of the spectacle that is Las Vegas.

While many think casinos when they hear Las Vegas, I think musical acts.

From the Rat Pack to Elvis Presley and later such acts as Celine Dion, Vegas is a magnet for extraordinary musical

talent.

I’ve not yet been to Vegas, but it is certainly on my bucket list for the NASCAR race and also for the entertainment.

This week’s focus of the Friday Music Blog is music that reminds you of Las Vegas. This can be music that mentions Las Vegas, you’ve seen performed there, or some other connection.

Please remember to leave the song name and the artist as well as a brief reason why you chose the number.

Please remember to check back on this post throughout the day and weekend as many people leave their responses at various times. Also, weekends are an especially great time to catch up on all things Chief 187™Chatter. Archived articles, favorite recipes, or a movie title to rent/stream are all available.

  2. I have only been to the Las Vegas airport on a layover (with a 3 year old). I too have LVMS on my track wishlist.
I am missing the AAPC Coder's Convention there next month. :(

One song that screams Vegas to me and gets regular play on my iPod:
"Its Not Unusual" by Tom Jones :) (can't help but do "the carlton")

    My favorite Elvis songs are:
    Suspicious Minds
    Can't Help Falling In Love

Of course, "Viva Las Vegas" by Elvis is quintessential Las Vegas.

    Favorite Celine Dion:
    If You Asked Me To
Its All Coming Back to Me Now
    A New Day Has Come
    River Deep, Mountain High
    That's the Way It Is
    Because You Loved Me

My husband would like to submit:
The Theme to CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. "Who Are You?" by The Who.
