Music has the ability to transform a mood, stir passion, and give hope, sometimes all at the same time. It has helped me recognize love, stay when leaving seemed easier, and celebrate incredible moments. It has soothed my ego, allowed me to cry unabashedly with a plethora of emotions, and kept me going when exhaustion had a stranglehold on me. Although no expert, I know what I like and I must have what I love. The Friday Music Blog is a selfish way for me to surround myself with the music that pleases me while allowing others their musical passions. The Friday Music Blog is my original creation, my first “series”, and very important to me. It is sincerely my pleasure to bring original topics to you all weekly to revel in our shared love of music.
This week’s focus is brought to us by Friday Music Blog loyal reader and responder Vroom Vroom. He suggests “Best First 10 Seconds” songs; the songs that grab the listener in the first seconds with the first strains. As with all music topics I provide, this is purely subjective. What songs fit the topic to you?
In a turn of incredible events Chief 187 Chatter turned over 17000 pageviews this week and the numbers keep rising at a skyrocketing pace. In addition to checking on this blog throughout the weekend, I invite you to view other posts, especially this week’s Simple Joys that set site records for one-day pageviews as well as all-time views! It is currently the most read article on my site. Thank you to each and every one of you for continuing to make Chief 187 Chatter relevant and newsworthy, and for supporting me in my endeavors. I look forward, as always, to reading your responses to today’s Friday Music Blog, and bringing you all new original material starting Monday.
