Friday Music Blog

Friday Music Blogs are completely interactive. For the blog to be successful I need all of you to respond with your favorite song, artist, and/or album that fits the genre. Each week the topic changes. I've had great response from this blog at Rowdy.com. I still post a topic there so you should check it out if you like this idea. The topic here will be different so stay with me!

Today's focus is on the song(s) you just can't get out of your head. The song may be tortuous, bubblegum pop, awesome classic rock with heavy guitar licks, or some tremendous piece of classical music. A country tune may be the song floating in your mind or a smooth piece of Jazz. Whatever the rift going through your head, share it below and stick it in someone else's brain! Remember, this works best with full member participation. Please sign up to follow so you can leave your comments below! Happy Friday everyone and thank you for making my first week so incredible!

  1. Shavelle Rowdy posted something on Facebook regarding EEE-gor vs III-gor from Young Frankenstein and now I can't get "Puttin on the Ritz" out of my head!

  4. Okay the new song playing 12 times a day by Katy Perry is Teenage Dream and although a couple of the lines are a little infantile, its funny because 80% of the lyrics actually describe me and my current relationship and how we feel. We even had one night of getting drunk (really just a little buzzed) in his classic Cutlass watching the 4th of July fireworks....we said it was just like being teenagers again LOL.

  6. Oddly enough, I was whistling "I am the very model of a modern major general" from Pirates of Penzance yesterday, and I am not a frequent whistler. (Must be because I've been thinking of Montville all week and we did "Pirates" senior year. ...I guess?)

My 2-yr-old has been singing the theme song from "Dora the Explorer," "Happy Birthday," "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star," and she also enjoys Lady Gaga.
