The disc was a collection of bubble gum music..."123 Red Light", "Yummy Yummy Yummy", "Simon Says" and others.

And yes, I have bought a lot of things I had on LP on CD as well. But I never got rid of the vinyl! My CD collection is at least 1500 strong now (who's counting)?Gerry Wendelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03536057586735422743noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2692958826098214952.post-348650702283715992012-01-20T15:12:24.369-05:002012-01-20T15:12:24.369-05:00Hi Ice Man! He can't remember at all, but I know my 1st two CDs were Christmas albums as well: Kathie Lee Gifford and Neil Diamond's 1st Christmas Album. I loved both then and they still get heavy rotation each year. Now THAT was a good investment in music. I have both albums you mentioned, too!
Hope you are well, Ice Man.

Jules, thank you for your comments as always.

Johnny, it's always a pleasure to have you stop by, too!Chief 187https://www.blogger.com/profile/09485730643132355212noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2692958826098214952.post-58811052641931721822012-01-20T14:56:06.868-05:002012-01-20T14:56:06.868-05:00Hi friend, my first CD was either Yanni or The Xma...Hi friend, my first CD was either Yanni or The Xmas Album by Kenny G, can't remember and I enjoy both to this day.Ice Mannhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11477466913292046992noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2692958826098214952.post-47850364405500084072012-01-20T12:54:53.510-05:002012-01-20T12:54:53.510-05:00Husband says his first one was "Electric Yout...Husband says his first one was "Electric Youth" Debbie GibsonJuleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11019562060252268854noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2692958826098214952.post-62304056483741682232012-01-20T09:24:54.724-05:002012-01-20T09:24:54.724-05:00I purchased the New Kids On The Block "Step B...I purchased the New Kids On The Block "Step By Step" CD before I even had a CD player. Because at that time the long box was the choice of packaging... The NKOTB box was unique because it looked like a school locker. ;) I was obsessed with NKOTB and I thought that long box stood out among all the other ones.

I did get a CD player for graduation and with it I got a Michael Bolton "Time, Love & Tenderness" CD & Paula Abdul's "Spellbound" CD.

I don't have any CD left. They've all been ripped and put in my iTunes catalog.Juleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11019562060252268854noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2692958826098214952.post-41749822325792136252012-01-20T05:34:35.897-05:002012-01-20T05:34:35.897-05:00My first CD I bought in 1986 Laurie Anderson. &quo...My first CD I bought in 1986 Laurie Anderson.
